Again, promotional releases of the album version were pressed in Holland
(COL PRO 691; two-sided with red labels; title sleeve) and Spain

sleeve).
Dutch picture sleeve variations (left and center) and Spanish promotional picture sleeve (right) for “57

1993

is believed that less than 100 copies are in circulation. Black-and-white picture sleeve.
The album version also was issued on a one-sided Spanish yellow label promotional single (CBS/SONY ARIC 176) with die-cut CBS/Sony "eye" logo
sleeve.

The standard commercial US pressing was also distributed as a jukebox single in plain
white die-cut bag with title strip.

Hungry Heart
(album version) / Streets Of Philadelphia (live) (COL
662315 7)
Holland-only pressing originally manufactured in a quantity of 1,000 copies, although no more than 200 to 300 actually made it to the market, being released in Sweden only (it remains unknown, however, what happened to the remaining stock). Black-and-white picture sleeve. Jukebox copies with subsequently enlarged center holes (as opposed to the single’s original small centers) exist as well.
1996
The Ghost Of Tom Joad / Straight Time (live) (COL 662949 7)
Same press run (1,000 copies made) and limited commercial distribution (200 to 300 shipped to Sweden) as the above “Hungry Heart” single. Black-and-white picture sleeve. Jukebox copies with subsequently enlarged center holes (as opposed to the single’s original small centers) exist as well.
The Ghost Of Tom Joad / Earth Song (by Michael Jackson) (COL JC 15483 7)
The Ghost Of Tom Joad / Anything (by 3T) (COL JC 15488 7)
Anima Mia (by Claudio Baglioni) / Secret Garden (COL JC 15515)
Italy-only promotional releases for jukebox use. All were issued in plain white sleeves
with title strips.
Dead Man Walkin' / This Hard Land (live) (COL 663190 7)
Missing / Darkness On The Edge Of Town (live acoustic) (COL 663508 7)
Holland-only pressings limited to a reported 500 copies each. It is of note that these singles never were available in stores anywhere, but distributed directly by employees of Columbia/Sony Holland’s Haarlem offices to private collectors and “fan clubs”. Both came with picture sleeves featuring the same photo of Bruce, but different typefaces and layouts. Originally featuring small center holes, copies with subsequently enlarged centers (presumably made for jukebox use) are also known to exist of either title. For almost 13 years, "Missing" remained the last Springsteen single ever released commercially on 7-inch vinyl anywhere in the world.
