Viva Las Vegas / Its Now Or Never (by Paul McCartney) (NME PRO 10-1990)
UK-only promotional release; issued to tie in with NMEs "The Last Temptation Of Elvis" benefit album. Plain white paper sleeve. Disc has picture labels with black-and-white drawings of Bruce on one side and Paul McCartney on the other, both of which were taken from the regular LP cover artwork. Originally came with a promo letter from NME editor (and album producer) Roy Carr. Limited edition of 500 copies; also issued as a promotion-only CD single. Plays at 45 rpm.
Dream Baby Dream (live) / Dream Baby Dream (by Suicide) / Mr. Ray (by Beat The Devil) (BLAST FIRST [PETITE] PTYY 017)
UK-only release commemorating Suicide vocalist Alan Vega’s 70th birthday; limited to 8,000 copies (pressed in two different runs of 4,000 each). Black-and-white picture sleeve with individually numbered sticker on rear. Both the label and rear sleeve feature a hilarious typo stating that Bruce’s track was “recorded live for the Dust Devils solo tour 2005”.
Wrecking Ball / The Ghost Of Tom Joad (both live) (COL 88697 67195 79)
Limited edition issued to commemorate the 2010 “Record Store Day” campaign, and distributed exclusively to participating independent stores throughout North America and Europe (note that two different pressings exist for either market with identical catalogue numbers). Both tracks had previously been available as digital downloads only in commercial form, although the live version of "The Ghost Of Tom Joad" featured here was also included on two promo CDR’s of the 2008 “Magic Tour Highlights” EP released in Holland and the US. Unique black-and-white picture sleeve.
Gotta Get That Feeling / Racing In The Street (’78) (both live) (COL 88697 87461 1)
Limited edition issued to commemorate the 2011 “Record Store Day” campaign, and distributed solely to participating independent stores throughout North America and Europe (again, two different pressings exist for either market with identical catalogue numbers). Although both songs also feature in the Carousel House webcast footage included as a bonus on the 2011 standalone DVD/BluRay release of Thom Zimny’s "The Promise: The Making Of 'Darkness On The Edge Of Town'" documentary, they are exclusive to this 10-inch in audio-only form. Unique full-colour picture sleeve has a blatant typo of “Racing In The Sreet” in the rear’s tracklisting on all circulating copies.
