Hello, and welcome to Lost In The Flood: The Bruce Springsteen Collectors Page. We are glad you visited and hope youll enjoy the site. Before you continue to click your way through 40 years of rare and unusual Bruce vinyl, compact discs and tapes, wed appreciate your attention on the following important notes and disclaimers:
First of all, Lost In The Flood is a privately run website by collectors for collectors, with no commercial intent whatsoever, and is in no way affiliated to Bruce Springsteen, his organization and/or Columbia Records/Sony Music. Most of the images contained herein are copyright of the different worldwide Columbia Records/Sony Music branches; used without permission. For the sole official online representation of Bruce Springsteen authorized by the artist himself, check out www.brucespringsteen.net.
This site is for information purposes only. Please note that we DO NOT have any of the items included here for sale or trade!
We cant stress enough that Lost In The Flood is BY NO MEANS a COMPLETE worldwide Bruce Springsteen discography (which, taking into account the fact that no less than 48 different countries have issued his records over the last three-and-a-half decades, would probably be an impossible task anyway). Rather, we have concentrated on particularly interesting sleeves and labels, limited edition pressings, varying track configurations and other unusual features, and by doing so (hopefully) covered most of the issues that appeal to collectors; novice and die-hard alike.
Throughout these pages, you will notice that several items pictured feature a magnifying
glass symbol . This denotes that a larger version of the
respective scan is available for you to view. Just click on the picture or the symbol
itself, and the larger pic will automatically open in a new dedicated window.
Lost In The Flood covers official releases only; i. e. there is no information on bootleg recordings whatsoever to be found herein, bar a few exceptions in the Pirates Treasure page which were included to avoid potential confusion with official product. Please DO NOT send inquiries regarding illegal material of that kind!
We have decided not to include any kind of "price guide" for the records, as our own collecting experiences have taught us that prices asked by professional dealers and/or private individuals often tend to vary drastically even within the larger markets (i. e. mainland Europe, the UK and the US); let alone between them, so general values are somewhat difficult to determine in most cases. That aside, at the end of the day, ANYTHING of materialistic nature always will be worth just as much as anybody is willing to pay for it.
Content-wise, Lost In The Flood should be considered a permanent work in progress. We are seeking to add new items and scans constantly, and would appreciate your support to make the site grow. If you have an item that you feel should be added or if you can fill in missing info/corrections on something thats already here, please dont hesitate to e-mail us with as much detail as you can possibly come up with. Good quality scans (150 DPI/400 Pixel minimum) would also be more than welcome. Of course, anybody contributing to the site in a constructive kind of way will be boldly mentioned in our Acknowledgements Page.
On a final note, if you have a specific question that hasnt already been answered in our F.A.Q. Page, we would also like to encourage you to contact us. While far from being know-it-alls, we will try our best to help you out.
Thats pretty much it, folks - again, enjoy your stay, and keep checking back! Any and all feedback - nice or nasty, flowers or flames - is always appreciated. Good luck and happy hunting!
Peter & Polifka
