COLLECTORS’ NEWS (04/12/11)
A seemingly new series of five fake Springsteen 7-inch picture sleeves (all containing standard, genuine Dutch-pressed discs) has just turned up at the recent record fair in Utrecht, Holland. Sold by a dealer from Germany for € 5 apiece, these sleeves feature totally different artwork to their original counterparts (in most cases utilizing photos from non-corresponding eras [e. g., a 1975 Eric Meola “Born To Run” outtake shot for the 1980 “Hungry Heart” release]) and are highlighting the respective
B-side tracks over the actual A-sides. Paper and printing quality, however, are said to be very good. Thanks to
Pascal Horsthuis for the info and
scans.
COLLECTORS’ NEWS (04/01/11)

COLLECTORS’ NEWS (03/04/11)
“Record Store Day” update: If recent
reports are to be believed, this year’s Springsteen “exclusive” will in
fact be another 10-inch (not 7-inch) vinyl single containing
live versions of “Gotta Get That Feeling” and “Racing In The

Park’s “Carousel House” last December (which is also rumoured to come out
as an official DVD in the near future).
In other news, Bruce is going to appear on the new album by Detroit-based singer/songwriter Stewart Francke, “Heartless World” (due for release on 05/17), contributing lead vocals to a song called “Summer Soldiers”.
